Assassin's Creed Reveals Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season

In a surprising crossover event that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited practices and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine sect.

The mission centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Extra Content

Players who finish the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
